NCB Receives Forensic Report Of Karan Johar's Viral Party Video; It Is 'Authentic' Without Any Tampering - REPORTS
With many big names coming under the radar of the Narcotics Control Bureau, a viral 2019 video from Karan Johar's party has also made a comeback. The video had led to a controversy as many believed that the stars were high on drugs. Akali Dal leader had also raised questions over the controversial video that starred Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Malaika Arora, Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan and others. Now, with NCB investigating the alleged drug-nexus of Bollywood, Akali Dal leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa has filed a complaint against Karan Johar for supposedly organising a drug party at his home. He was of the opinion that the NCB should also look into the viral video.

Post the complaint, the video from the party was sent to forensics for investigation. It has been reported that forensics have termed the video 'authentic' with no tempering or editing done. Now, the NCB team will decide what action needs to be taken further, as reported by Zee News. Yesterday, reportedly the NCB Chief Rakesh Asthana had held a meeting with top officials members and supposedly, he has given a green signal to his team members to go after the crackdown of the drug nexus.

Meanwhile, a few days ago, Karan Johar had tweeted his statement on social media, clarifying on the viral party video. He had said, "Certain news channels, print/ electronic media and social media platform(s) are wrongly and misleadingly reporting that narcotics were consumed at a party that I, Karan Johar hosted on July 28, 2019 at my residence. I had already clarified my position way back in 2019 that the allegations were false. In view of the current malicious campaign, I am reiterating that the allegations are completely baseless and false. No narcotics substance was consumed in the party. I WOULD LIKE TO UNEQUIVOCALLY ONCE AGAIN STATE THAT I DO NOT CONSUME NARCOTICS AND I DO NOT PROMOTE OR ENCOURAGE CONSUMPTION OF ANY SUCH SUBSTANCE."

So far, celebrities like Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, and Rakul Preet Singh have been interrogated by police.
